great ACTIVITIES while you stay with us

The beach and martello Towers

Over five miles of open beach to explore!
Pevensey Bay beach stretches for about 8.5 km (around 5 miles) along the Sussex coast, running roughly from Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne to Normans Bay and towards Bexhill.
For visitors, this means there’s plenty of space for family beach walks, paddling and exploring the historic Martello Towers along the shoreline. A great spot for a relaxed family day by the sea, with a wide shingle beach perfect for paddling, beach games, fishing and long coastal walks. Children love exploring the shoreline while enjoying the open views across the English Channel. Along the beach, you’ll also see the historic Martello Towers — round brick forts built over 200 years ago to defend the coast from Napoleon. These striking landmarks add a sense of adventure and history.

Aqua BAR

beach front drinking and dining
Located right on the beach in Pevensey Bay, the Aqua Bar is the only bar in the entire bay that is directly on the beach, making it the perfect spot to relax by the sea. Its lovely beachfront garden offers stunning views across the water, ideal for enjoying a drink in the sunshine or watching the sunset. With a warm welcome and famously friendly staff, Aqua Bar has become a favourite place for locals and visitors to unwind after a day on the beach.

steam TRAIN ADVENTURES

E.m.s.r Adventure park
Set in peaceful countryside on the edge of Eastbourne, E.M.S.R. Adventure Park (Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway) is a charming family attraction centred around a beautifully crafted miniature railway. Visitors can ride behind one-eighth-scale steam locomotives on a scenic journey of almost a mile through landscaped parkland, passing woodland and a five-acre lake rich in wildlife. Around the park are plenty of activities for all ages, including an adventure playground, crazy golf, a maze, nature walks and picnic areas. Guests can also relax in the railway-themed café with drinks, lunches or cream teas, browse the gift shop, or explore model railway displays.

ROSE's FISH & CHIPS

BEST CHIPPY in EAST SUSSEX
Enjoy fish & chips on the beach from Rose's in the Village, just a 2-minute walk from the beach. Cooked freshly and piping hot, it's a great option for a traditional seaside treat, and it is really popular with locals and visitors alike.
